When I walked outside yesterday this is what was staring at me. It was a little creepy. Birds don't usually just stare at you when you get that close to them and it took me a minute to realize why it was just sitting there. In the meantime, it was creepy.
What I like most about this situation is the contrast in reactions I got from my husband and my mother when I told them about it.
My mom (a science teacher): "You are so lucky! I can't believe you're so lucky! You should put a mirror above it so you can watch the eggs."
Jonah (not a member of PETA): "Get rid of it! Do you know how many diseases birds carry?"
Me: "Jonah, I think there are eggs in the nest."
Jonah: "Then wait for the bird to leave and stick the planter in the garage."

Don't you dare put the planter in the garage! I think you are extremely lucky too. It is a dove---maybe it is an omen. You know a dove of peace or love.
I think the bird is a witch. Definitely creepy. :)
Just kidding. I think you should bring it in the house and hang it next to your bed so it can stare at you all night.
As long as it doesn't swoop at your head or try and peck out your eyes, I say leave the planter. But once the swooping starts anything is fair game.
So what did you decide to do?
I agree with Jonah.
Tell jonah he is heartless and mean...I guess that makes my husband the same.
Jonah cracks me up!
